Weight Loss Tips - Simple Weight Loss

My daughter got a job closer to her dad's house for this summer :(

Well, she's put on a bit of weight. As a matter of fact, I've never seen her this heavy, and it was really bothering her. This weekend, we played and ate, and shopped, and ate, well – you get the idea. When she was going back tonight she said, “I know this sounds crazy, but I lost some of the weight already.”

No, it doesn't sound crazy at all. Well, not to me because I know how to eat to stay thin and healthy. It will probably sound crazy to you too – at first...

Over the years, this has been a continuing cycle. She goes to her dad's and gains weight. She comes home and loses it. And it's not like we're on some special diet. Far from it.

Here's a snapshot of our weekend -

Saturday morning we had 2 slices of raisin toast, yogurt, and strawberries with orange juice and coffee.

We were playing in the lake, so we didn't eat lunch. By 3 we were crispy, and hungry. We came up and ate an early dinner of spaghetti, salad, and italian bread – and our vitamins.

We went to the mall and walked around for an hour or so.

We came back and walked the dog, only about a mile this time because we wanted to go out for ice cream.

We went to downtown Antioch for ice cream and walked around town looking at the Dogs on the Chain exhibits while we ate our ice cream. They're kind of like the cows we had in Chicago years back. Each dog had a different theme.

We came home, showered again – and hit the sack.

Sunday we talked away the morning. For brunch we had scrambled eggs and cheese, (5 eggs and 2 slices of cheese for the 2 of us), 3 Jones natural sausage links each, 2 slices of raisin toast, strawberries, orange juice and coffee.

Then we ran off to the store to get a birthday gift, stopped by a car show, stopped in a antique resale shop. She went off to a friend's house for a while, and I got caught up on email and got dinner ready.

We had chicken breast, a salad with green leaf lettuce, broccoli, tomatoes, and onions, and a side dish of rice with mushrooms – and our vitamins.

And then she went back home.

The dishes are done, and the rest of the strawberries are cut up and ready for breakfast tomorrow. We can each munch on a couple of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies I made Friday.

And she lost weight.

Could you manage to suffer through a diet like ours?

What is the secret?

It really boils down to 3 things -

  1. Eating only fresh food
  2. Getting your fruits, vegetables, and vitamins
  3. Getting exercise - (even if it's just out having fun)

It's really that simple.
