Summer is the time to get healthy!
July is my favorite month of the year. I am definitely a fun in the sun sort of girl!
The other cool thing about July is that there is so much great food that doesn't require cooking! I sure don't want to be cooking after playing outside all day. And if I had to work, the first thing I do is head down to the water with the dog.
So head on over to the new salads, pick a meat to cook up quickly - add some fruit or another veggies, and you're off to do something else!

You don't need to spend hours in the gym to get fit this time of year, just get out and do things you like to do. I love a nice walk after dinner when its warm out. There's concerts in the parks going on all over. There is so much to do. There is no excuse to not be active.

Volunteers Needed for Experiment
Have you heard of David Wolf? He's a health guru. I just watched a segment of one of his conferences on the subject of 'Earthing" or being "grounded". The premise is that we are too removed from the earth's energy because we are always wearing shoes, or in our houses on tile and carpet. They say that if you stand barefoot out in the grass taht you connect to the earth's energy and that inflammation cannot exist if you are grounded.
Now, I go barefoot a lot, and I don't have any inflammatory disease. Is there a connection? I don't know. And I can't test it. I need a couple of you to volunteer. If you have any sort of arthritis, stand out in the grass for 15 - 20 minutes a day and let us know if it helps. Anyone willing to give it a try?

My daughter got a job closer to her dad's house for this summer :( Well, she's put on a bit of weight. As a matter of fact, I've never seen her this heavy, and it was really bothering her.
