Healthy eating inspirational video

This is my attempt at a healthy eating inspirational/motivational video.

Let me know how I did.

Did this inspire you?

What kind of legacy are we leaving?

I was talking to Mary’s husband tonight. You might remember that Mary died of a massive stroke a couple of years ago at only 47 years old, leaving her husband and 3 kids behind.

To add to the grief, last winter he lost his job and hasn’t been able to even get an interview. Its a common problem here. I’m surrounded by professionals who don’t even get a bite on their resumes.

So Mary died early, with no life insurance. He lost his job, and now they are in real danger of losing their home.

A little bit of stress, would you say?

His sister even said he’s aged 10 years.

Now add to that – he smokes and they don’t eat right.

He tells me he can cook. I don’t know about that. After Mary died, his father said he couldn’t even make himself a sandwich. Everytime I talk to him around dinner time, he’s making hamburger helper.

Tonight I said, “what about a salad?”

He said, “There’s some sort of vegetables in it. That works.”

I want to reach out and strangle people sometimes. But I know that like most people, he won’t change until he has a life threatening episode.

How about you?

How are you feeling today?

Are you healthy, full of energy, and living life?

If not, how is that affecting your family?

How would it affect your family if you were to get seriously ill, or god-forbid, died?

Will you be able to bear looking down from heaven to see your family suffering?

Especially when you know it didn’t have to be that way? You could have changed it.

They’re even talking about putting children on cholesterol medications.

They’re saying our children are expected to have a shorter life expectancy than their parents.

Look at your children right now. Is this the kind of legacy we want to leave?

A Good Legislative Update

Nice to hear some good news for a change, right?

We have made a difference!

Here’s the latest summary from the Alliance for Natural Health –

Supplements Still in PerilOver the past year, we fought four different Congressional bills that threatened your access to supplements. In this Action Alert, we need your help to educate our lawmakers, most of whom know little or nothing about existing supplement regulation or why supplements are not drugs.

Despite the negative framing, the article is pretty gratifying. We have made a difference. The battle is not over. It will never be over. We always need to be paying attention. That is much easier thanks to organizations such as the Alliance for Natural Health.

Should Children be on Statin Drugs?

If Big Pharma has their way, your kids will be on blood pressure and cholesterol lowering drugs. They don’t care who they hurt as long as they can make a profit, right?

Oh, it doesn’t matter that recent research shows that cholsterol has nothing to do with heart attacks. As long as people happily swallow the pills, they’ll keep pushing them.

Heck, some ‘health’ gurus are still pushing soy. Many people still buy into that myth. (login and visit the Food Myths Section for more )

Here’s the latest release from the Alliance for Natural Health –
Children Are Being Exploited to Extend Pharmaceutical Patents
Want to protect your kids from high cholesterol? Just give ’em drugs—like the new, chewable form of Lipitor. Yes, chewable. Like candy. A new Action Alert asks Congress to repeal a really rotten law that encourages this.

Your Right to Nutritious Foods

You may not be as free as you think you are.

These days its not enough to just stop eating the foods that are killing billions of people, and instead eat nutritious real foods, but we have to fight for our right to do so.

Login and take advantage of your right to nutritious food.

health & success

Will being healthy make you more successful?

Not directly, but it will give you the energy and self confidence you need to make it. Besides, it’s hard to accomplish much when you don’t feel good, isn’t it?

And adding medical bills to your problems probably won’t help much either.

Here’s an old clip from Jack Lalanne on the subject –

Let’s login and plan our food for the day, OK?

Still Valid Today

I was surfing around youtube and found some old Jack Lalanne videos. You know, he’s going to be 96 in September.

I want you to see something -

Things have only gotten worse since that show was made. I wonder what the world would be like if more people had listened back then.

What do you think?
